Roger Federer blew past Czech player Tomas Berdych in the semi final to reach the final of Wimbledon. The Swiss Maestro won 7-6(7-4),7-6(7-4), 6-4 to set up his final clash against Marin Cilic of Croatia.
Federer initially broke Berdych in the first set, only for him to break back again. The second set had both players hold serve until the tie break, where Federer raced to a 5-1 lead only for Berdych to get a mini-break. Federer still managed to edge past Berdych to win the set at 7-4.
The third set saw some inconsistent play from both players, with Federer vocalising his displeasure on court. However, Federer broke Berdych in the 7th game of the set, and raced ahead to win the set 6-4.
Federer now faces the Croatian, Marin Cilic, who has reached his first Wimbledon final, who now looks to be the first Croatian player to win Wimbledon since his coach Goran Ivanisevic won Wimbledon as a qualifier in 2001.
Federer leads their head to head 6-1.
